Arm and Thigh Lift

The skin on our arms and thigh may sag due to gaining or losing weight or aging. The size of the sagging is measured with hand examination before the surgery, and patient’s body is marked with colored pens for a careful planning before the surgery. Surgery is carried out according to this plan.

How Arm Lift Surgery Works?

The surgery is performed under anesthesia in the operating room, and takes about 1-2 hours.

In arm lift surgery, a plan is made according to the thickness of the skin, amount of fatty tissue and the amount of sagging. Liposuction is performed on the area before lifting procedure, if necessary. After this procedure, the loose skin is surgically removed. The surgery is performed through the armpit, so the surgical scar remains at the armpit area.

Things to Avoid After Arm Lift Surgery

A special bandage is applied to the arm after the surgery. The patient should avoid water to contact her arm for 48 hours. The patient should avoid all movements that will stretch the arm and especially sports activities for the first 2 months. The less the arm is moved, the faster and without any scars the surgical scars will heal.

Why is Thigh Lift Important?

It is a type of surgery implemented in case of sagging skin due to aging and excessive weight gain or loss. It is performed under anesthesia in the operating room.

The surgery is conducted on the inside of the leg, which is hard to see from the outside. The patients usually want to have this surgery due to the fact that their legs rub against each other when they walk. In leg aesthetics, liposuction is often performed to remove excess fat in the leg.

Healing Process in Thigh Lift

After the surgery, the patient needs to stay in the hospital for at least one day. The legs should rest elevated above the heart after the surgery. Long walks and compelling stretching movements should be avoided for the first 2 months. Swelling and bruises due to surgery will be observed on the legs. These will heal in one week by using ice packs. A corset or bandage may be required, depending on the location of the surgery on the leg.

The procedure can be performed on anyone who is dissatisfied with the appearance and shape of their legs.

Although it varies according to the procedure which will be performed, it usually takes between 1 and 4 hours.

It is recommended to stay away from any sports activities for at least 3 weeks because it can cause pain and edema.
